Fall Hike
October 1st proved to be a beautiful day for a hike through the aspens near Whitney Lake. The temperature was perfect and the colors were vibrant. It's amazing how breathtaking a bunch of yellow leaves really can be. We don't get a wide variety of colors here, not the oranges and reds that I am used to in Michigan falling off the maples and oaks but a hillside covered in yellow is still pretty neat. The leaves are changing all around us. According to the tv news and newspaper, this past weekend was our color peak. So many people are taking advantage of the beautiful weather by taking hikes and drives. Andy took a motorcycle ride toward Aspen and took pictures that seemed as though they were professional paintings. Like someone said on our hike on Saturday, "How can you look around at all this beauty and not believe there is a God?" What a great question! God is good and he is definitely a masterful artist!!!
