Hmmm, I wonder where the ball went....
Andy and Hobie, quite the pair when it comes to the game of fetch!
Waiting for the ball to be thrown
After a fun walk and game of fetch at the dog park, we returned home and prepared for our snowmobiling adventure. Andy was given a gift certificate for a free snowmobile ride. We decided to use the gift this weekend. What a contrast in weather though. We had contemplated going for a walk without coats on at home but out by Camp Hale the temperatures decided to dip, the wind blew, and the snow began to fall. We both had on our winter coats and borrowed snowsuits (quite fashionable!). The weather could not bring our level of excitement down! The gift certificate allowed us the use of a two person snowmobile for 1/2 of a day. Although Andy would have loved to drive the entire afternoon, he was kind and allowed me to take a couple of turns as well. Near the beginning of our tour (we were in a group of about 7 snowmobiles) we were taken to a wide open track and told to "get used to our machines". It turns out snowmobiles are very similar to jet skis. Once I was given a turn to drive, Andy learned what my dad always said about how I only have two speeds-idle and full throttle! We had so much fun curving around the trails and taking in the sights. We were also given history and science lessons along the way. The trip was definitely memorable and something I would suggest others try some day!
