For the last year and half we have been the proud owners of a Green Yukon. We've been through a lot together...we moved across the country together, we broke down on the way down a mountain and had to spend the night in another town so we could fix it the next morning, we've ridden muddy, rocky trails that have awarded us with stunning views, and we have even gotten ourselves stuck in the snow together. On Monday we said good bye to the Green Machine. You see, according to the government, the Green Machine was a clunker. With well over 200,000 miles and an average 10-12 mpg's, this 1995 Yukon was ready for a well deserved rest. With the help of the "Cash for Clunkers" program and a few GM discounts we are now the proud owners of a 2009 Vibe GT!!! Our new Vibe is wonderful! Everything works just as it should (we couldn't say that about the Yukon...)!! This Platinum Metallic vehicle has a sun roof and a manual transmission. Andy is so excited about the fact that it is a stick shift! We are sad to see the Green Machine go but we are excited about the many adventures that we will have with the Vibe. (name to be determined...Silver Bullet???) Here are a few pictures of the newest addition to our family....
