"It's worth it!" That's all we heard on our way up the winding, rocky, 1.2 mile hike up to Hanging Lake on Sunday afternoon. We had tried the trail a week and half earlier while my mom and sister were visiting but decided to turn back about .4 miles from the top because it was starting to get dark out. So after church on Sunday, Andy and I set out to conquer the trail. After an hour of hiking we finally made it to the main attraction: Hanging Lake. It was absolutely beautiful! Blue/green water flowed from the base of a set of waterfalls. We were absolutely awestruck. The view from the top was wonderful as well. Everyone we talked to were right, it was definitely worth it!

beautiful waterfalls ... not sure if i would have been so sure a hike up a mountain was worth it though ... then again i'm not much of a hiker :)
