We have only been here less than three weeks but already so much has happened. Here is a quick rundown of the most notable events:
1. Andy started a new job at the Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa
2. We moved into a new apartment
3. We found a new church
4. My mom and sister drove my car out and stayed with us for a few days
5. I was hired as the Physical Education teacher for The Vail Academy
6. Our friend Jess came to visit for a few days
Wow! God has sure been looking out for us!
In other news, the area is absolutely beautiful! We have had the opportunity to take a few hikes, bike rides, and driving tours during the last few weeks and are continually amazed by the beauty of our new surroundings.
Oh, and after enjoying/enduring (depending on your point of view) temperatures in the upper 80's for the last few weeks, we woke up to a really crazy sight: snow! Who ever heard of it snowing in the middle of August? Although not right outside our window, there is definitely a significant layer of snow on the mountains a few miles out.
